Meet Dr. Haws & His Family
Adam S. Haws grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1989, and went on to graduate from Ricks College, in Rexburg, Idaho with an Associate of Arts degree in 1994. Dr. Haws received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brigham Young University in 1997 and has two minors in Music and Japanese. He also completed the Dental Prerequisites at UCSB. Adam S. Haws is an Eagle Scout with 2 Bronze Palms.
Dr. Haws served a full-time, two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Japan, Fukoka Mission.
He graduated from the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004. He was elected Senior Class President during that time.
Since 2004, Adam S. Haws has worked in offices with his father, brother and brother-in-law in both Santa Barbara and Solvang. His father, Karl N. Haws, Jr., has practiced dentistry at the same address in Santa Barbara for almost 50 years. During this time, he has helped family offices update and implement computerized charting, intra-oral cameras and digital x-ray systems.
Dr. Haws is known to many as the “Singing Dentist of the Santa Ynez Valley.” He is a trained 1st Tenor, Concert Vocal Soloist. His chorus group sang in concert with Mormon Tabernacle Choir and went on to perform internationally. He performs in regular concerts throughout the year in Santa Barbara County.
In the spring of 2007, he was seen in award-winning composer Carl Johnson’s new work, “A Voice in the Wilderness” where he played the role of Andrew.
In October 2008, performed in “The Tenors Three” recital.
Adam S. Haws married Camene Morrison in 1998. They have three children; Keller, age 7; Tessa, age 5; and Cooper, age 1. They moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2006, where they have planted their roots and plan to raise their family.
Dr. Haws and his wife, Camene had a dream to open a new dental practice in the Santa Ynez Valley. In February 2008 that dream came true when they designed and built their new office with all of the latest comforts and cutting-edge technologies. They have realized through the opening of their new practice that they are a well balanced business team. Camene manages the business/ financial side and interior decorating of the practice while Dr. Haws on the other hand spends his time in the practice doing what he loves best, treating patients.“Each day I am fortunate enough to see the difference that a beautiful, new smile can make in the lives of my patients. I am passionate about combining the art and science of dentistry to restore and build confidence in the patients I enjoy so much.” It has been an exciting adventure for the Haws’ to both share in the growth and development in this new practice together.

Nicole
Nicole has been working with us since April 2008.Nicole graduated from Brymun Dental Assisting Program. She has been working in the dental field since 1992 as a Register Dental Assistant and also more recently as the Front Desk and Financial Coordinator. Nicole is very detail oriented and excellent at helping our patients make the most of their dental insurance benefits, while offering creative financing options. Nicole is one of the most versatile people that you will know and has done a great job of educating herself on dental insurance and finance. We are very fortunate to have her as a key member of our team.
Nicole met her husband, Allan in 1988 and they were married in 1990. Nicole and Allan have one daughter. Nichelle is 17 years old and is a junior at Santa Ynez High. When not working, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, her two Boxers, RVing, wake boarding, riding quads and generally enjoying the outdoors.
Ingrid
Ingrid one of our excellent registered dental assistants has been with us since we opened this practice February 2008. She has been instrumental in designing and setting up the systems that keep our office running in an efficient manner. She graduated from the Santa Barbara City College Dental Assisting Program, and is a Registered and Certified Dental Assistant. She holds certificates in Radiology, Coronal Polishing, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Ingrid has been in the dental field for 25 years, and has an extensive knowledge in the specialty of Orthodontics including our Invisalign clear braces system. She has an amazing willing spirit to pitch in and help whenever any one of our team members needs her. Ingrid has such a calm and confident way about her that you can't help but feel that you are in very capable hands. We are glad that she joined our dental team because of her "can do" attitude and her genuine interest in the well being of our patients.
Ingrid was married her husband Will in 1993. She has two children. Ingrid was born and raised in Santa Barbara and moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1986. When Ingrid is not here at work she loves the rural life style and has three horses
which she trail rides. She also loves to write, draw, photography, traveling and
collecting antiques.
Christy
Christy has been with us since August 2008. Christy graduated from Central California School of Continuing Education in 1998 where she got her Dental Assisting Certificate. She, like all of our registered dental assistants, holds certificates in Radiology, Coronal Polishing, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Some of you may have already had the opportunity to work with Christy and we're sure that you would agree that she is one of the most cheerful and fun people to be around that you will ever meet. She is always quick to establish a good rapport with each patient, putting people at ease and building friendships at the same time. One of Christy’s favorite things about her job is all of the wonderful patients in our dental family.
Christy has been married to Jeff for 7 years and has a wonderful little girl named Sutton. Sutton is 4 years old and is the apple of her parent’s eye. When not working Christy enjoys going to Rodeos and competing in Barrel Racing, going to the beach and just having a really good time.
Brooke
Brooke has been working with us since April 2008. Brooke graduated from the UCLA’s West Los Angeles Dental Hygiene Program in 1995. Brooke offers a limitless compassion for her patients as well as a thoroughness in cleaning her patient’s teeth that is unsurpassed. She is passionate about treating her patients in a comprehensive manner. Brooke’s outgoing personality and great sense of humor put patients immediately at ease. She is always laughing and enjoying life.
Brooke and her husband Tim met each other in 1986 and got married in 2000. They have four children, Marissa 17, Sean 7, Devon 5 and little Brooklynn 8 months. When Brooke is not working she is spending time with her family. She loves to play with the kids and taking walks, reading great books, and baking.
Lynett
Lynett has been working for us since August 2008. After graduating from Santa Barbara City College with an Associate degree in biology, she continued her education to earn her Bachelor’s degree from UCSB in Linguistics. Later after a career in dental technology and dental assisting, she made her career change to dental hygiene. She earned her associated degree in dental hygiene from The Oxnard College Dental Hygiene program. Lynett is very outgoing, friendly and extremely organized. She is a very knowledgeable and thorough hygienist with calm, soothing demeanor that truly helps patients relax. She provides each and every patient with the best possible care and is excellent at educating her patients on how to keep their teeth and gums in great health.
Lynett and her husband Phil have been married for 2 years. Lynett was born and raised in Santa Barbara. When not working, Lynett enjoys running, golfing, tennis, and snow boarding.
Jessica
Jessica has been working for us since March 2009. Jessica attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. She is really energetic and has a great time getting to know her patients. It is common to find her patients laughing like they are visiting an old friend rather than their Dental Hygienist. She is a breath of fresh air and a lot of fun to work with.
Jessica was raised in the Santa Ynez Valley,and is third generation in the dental field. When Jessica is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to cook/bake, be active (running, walking, hiking), being outdoors, and teaching spinning (an indoor group-fitness cycling class).
